The Adventures of Pinocchio – Vietnamese-English Bilingual
The Adventures of Pinocchio was published in 1883 by Italian writer Carlo Collod. Pinocchio is a cultural icon and one of the most recreated characters in children’s literature.
Pinocchio’s actions are considered a warning, a lesson for all playful children. Initially, Collodi intended this to be a tragic work and ended with the execution of the wooden puppet by using a noose around his neck and hanging him from an oak tree. But then, it became a work of deep humanity as we know about the painful process of growing up of a boy, from being an inanimate (a wooden puppet) to transforming into a real boy.
